  1. Ashok Kumar was a lab assistant in Bombay Talkies before he became an actor in 1936.

2. Dimple was only sixteen years old when Raj Kapoor introduced her in ‘Bobby’ (1973). She also got married to Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna at the age of 16. Despite the enormous success of ‘Bobby’, she then took a sabbatical from acting to raise her children.



3. ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ (1960) was a trilingual – with all scenes shot thrice in Hindi, Tamil and English. When the Tamil one flopped miserably, the English language one was aborted.



4. Lata Mangeshkar's song ‘Ae Malik Tere Bande Hum’ from ‘Do Aankhen Barah Haath’ (1957) which was an original composition by Vasant Desai, was adapted by a Pakistani school as the school anthem.

“While working in Bangkok i had three posters plastered in my room . One of Sylvester Stallone in Rocky ,one of Jackie Chan and the other of Sridevi. And today by God’s grace i’ve worked with all three of them.


  • Akshay was looted by dacoits of Chambal.

Akshay used to sell kundan Jewelry from Delhi to Mumbai.One of the crazy thing happened to Akshay Kumar was that once he was travelling between his route from Mumbai and Delhi. The train he was travelling in was robbed by the dacoits of Chambal. Just before boarding, he has shopped clothes for himself from the known fashion street of Mumbai .The bogey in which Akshay was travelling in, was robbed and everything possessed by the people was looted by the dacoits of Chambal. Akshay Kumar said, he was crying as well was laughing when his belongings was robbed by the dacoits. Akshay Kumar pretended as he was asleep, when the robbery was done.


  • Akshay had worked as a Light Boy for photographer Jayesh Sheth for 18 months without payment to shoot his first portfolio.






  • During one such session working with Jayesh once he met Govinda who told him that he is a hero material and should try his luck.
